Black beans have a velvety texture while holding their shape well during cooking
Suggestions: Have in salads, burritos, stir-fries, pasta dishes, tacos and curries. Combine with cumin, garlic and orange juice in soups and enchiladas. Toss with olive oil, fresh coriander and chopped veges for a salad.
Rinse beans, then in pan put in water till its about 1cm above the beans. Boil for ½ hour.
